Our role is to support your care with targeted diagnostics, clinical insight, and continuity of communication – so you can make informed decisions alongside your clients.
Referring is simple, and our team is here to assist at every step. Whether it’s a new murmur, suspected arrhythmia, or ongoing cardiac condition, we’ll work with you to provide the best possible outcome for your patient.

How To Book A Referral
Urgent/Emergency Referrals
- Call us directly on (954) 487-8357. Let us know it’s an urgent or emergency case
- We’ll triage over the phone and aim to see the patient same-day
If needed, we can coordinate transport options.
Please email us any relevant history, diagnostics, and imaging ahead of the patient’s arrival. You’ll be updated as soon as the patient is assessed.
Non-Urgent Referrals
- Submit a referral via our online referral form, call, or email us
- Upload relevant history, diagnostics, and any previous cardiology notes
- Our team will review and triage based on medical urgency
- We will contact clients directly to book them in for the next available appointment
You’ll receive a summary report after the appointment, and ongoing care will be referred back to your team unless otherwise discussed.

Referral and Appointment FAQ
What number should I call to schedule an appointment?
You can reach us at (954) 487-8357. This number works for all of our locations and is the best way to schedule an appointment, no matter which clinic you’re referring to.
How soon can a new patient be seen?
Wait times vary depending on the location and the referring veterinarian’s preference. If you believe a patient needs urgent attention, please call us directly. One of our doctors will assess the situation and we will do our best to accommodate the patient as soon as possible.
What heart conditions can the TEER procedure address in dogs?
The TEER procedure is primarily used to treat mitral valve regurgitation associated with chronic degenerative valve disease in dogs.
Are any diagnostics required before referral?
No diagnostics are required prior to referral. If you’d like to run preliminary labwork, NT-proBNP or cTnI can be helpful, but it’s completely optional. We offer in-house testing, including NT-proBNP and cTnI, with same-day results available
When are patient records sent back to the referring clinic?
We email all records to the referring practice’s email address within 24 hours of the appointment. Please note that these emails can occasionally land in spam folders, so be sure to check there if they don’t appear promptly.
Will someone contact clients referred via the online form?
Yes, when clients are referred through the online form, our team will contact them directly to arrange the appointment and ensure a smooth handover of care.
