Ella's Story
Our 6 y/o mixed breed dog Ella was recently diagnosed with early stage DCM. Due to lack of knowledge about this disease, we were left feeling helpless and uneasy, not knowing what to expect. We made an apt with Dr. Carpenter for a second opinion and to get more information.
Everyone was so nice and friendly and put us at ease. We stayed with our dog the entire time while the team performed several tests, including a complete echocardiogram. After the tests, the team discussed the findings amongst themselves. Afterwards, Dr. Hertzer, who was absolutely amazing, spoke with us at length about the findings. He put our minds at ease by providing an abundant amount of information and educating us about how the heart works so that we could better understand the suspected disease.
